Broccoli Salad

I ran across this delicious recipe years ago, and I have made the Broccoli Salad so many times now that I need not to look at the recipe when I am making the salad. You will need to go to the grocery store to gather the ingredients that you will need to purchase for your delicious homemade Broccoli Salad. The Broccoli Salad is a little bit expensive to make, but when that I make the salad, I always double the recipe and it makes a lot of salad. This is usually what I take to a pot luck dinner or a family get together. The Broccoli Salad also goes well with Thanksgiving Dinner.  Be sure to check out Good Time Recipes Website as well, at:  http://www.goodtimerecipes.com

Ingredients:

Two fresh bunches of broccoli, washed and trimmed, cut into bite size pieces

One package bacon, fried and crumbled

One package of shredded cheddar cheese

About one cup of mayonnaise

Two to three tablespoons sugar

Salt and black pepper to taste

One small red onion, finely chopped

Half of a cup of green olives diced

Half of a cup of black olives diced

About two tablespoons vinegar

About two tablespoons milk

Utensils:

Frying pan

Kitchen Knife

Paper Towels

Kitchen Spoon

Measuring Cups

Measuring Spoons

Two large mixing bowls

Kitchen Strainer

Directions:

First you will need to make your delicious dressing for your broccoli salad. Mix the mayonnaise, sugar, salt, black pepper, vinegar and milk together. This mixture should be thick but not real thick, if too thick, add some more milk or vinegar to the mix.

Then in another large mixing bowl, combine the broccoli, cheese, bacon, onion, and over half of the olives and add your homemade dressing and stir. Place the remaining olives on top of the broccoli salad for decoration. Cover the broccoli salad with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store in the refrigerator at
least for four hours. The longer this salad sits around cold, the better that it tastes.

Serve the Broccoli Salad with any kind of meat, like chicken, meatloaf, steak, whatever that you like. Or
serve the Broccoli Salad with a sandwich of your choice.
