Colorful Sprinkles
A couple of plastic sucker sticks (for the football goal)
2 Recipes for Buttercream Icing. (the recipe for the icing is on my blog)
Directions:
Prepare the baking pans and set aside. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix up both boxes of the cake mix. Pour into prepared pans. Bake as
directed on the back of the cake mix. Cool the cakes around 10 - 15
minutes before trying to remove them from the baking pans. Cool cakes
completely.
Cover cardboard with aluminum foil. Trim top of cakes where that they will
be flat when iced. Ice both cakes smooth with white buttercream icing, being
sure to put plenty of icing in the middle of the cake. Then decorate cake as
desired. Use tip #16 to pipe around the outside edges of the cake, and to
also write the football teams name on it (both top and bottom). Use tip #133
to pipe the grass area (tinted green) on the football field. Use tip #3 to pipe the
lines onto the football field. Cut the sucker sticks and glue them together with
buttercream frosting. Lay the sticks on wax paper until dried. Carefully place
on cake. Touchtown, your cake is ready for the tailgating party!
