Crispy Potatoes - NuWave Oven Style

This recipe came from The Take Home Chef on one of the episodes of the show.  This is my version of the delicious Crispy Potatoes that Curtis Stone made.

The Utensils that you will need for the recipe are as follows:

A potato peeler (vegetable peeler)
Knife to cut the potatoes with
Either a NuWave Pro Infrared Oven or a Deep Fryer or an Electric Skillet or Pan
(whatever you use to cook your potatoes in, will be needed)
A large pan that can hold enough water to boil your potatoes in
Kitchen Strainer for draining the potatoes
Paper Towels for draining the potatoes
Pastry brush if using the NuWave Oven
Fork for turning potatoes or Kitchen Spatula

Ingredients:

4 or 5 Potatoes (depending on how many people that you are intending to serve)
Your favorite type of oil (vegetable oil, canola oil, etc.)
Seasoning (Salt and Black Pepper to taste)
or whatever that you like to season your potatoes with
Water
Ketchup (optional)

Directions:

Fill a large pan with water, half way full and place on the stove top to let come to a boil.  Wash and peel the potatoes.  Place the whole peeled potatoes into the water and let them boil until the potatoes get half way done.  When the potatoes get half way done, drain them in a kitchen strainer.  Let the potatoes cool off about five to ten minutes.  After the potatoes have cooled off enough to handle them, slice the potatoes into slices, not too thick, but not too thin either, about 1/4" thick.

Lightly spray or oil one of the wire racks that comes with the NuWave Oven.  Place the sliced potatoes on one of the NuWave Oven racks, brush the potatoes with the oil.  Attach the lid to the NuWave Oven, press cook time, then press in eight minutes, then select the start feature.  Once the machine has beeped telling you that you food is ready, then take off the lid to the NuWave Oven and using a fork, flip over your potatoes,
brush the other side with some oil, and do the same process with the oven again.  Once the oven beeps for the second time, your Crispy Potatoes are deliciously done.

Take the done potatoes out of the NuWave Oven and sprinkle them with salt and black pepper to taste.  Serve the potatoes with ketchup and your favorite meal.

*Note:

If not using a NuWave Oven to cook the potatoes in, use a skillet on your stove top to fry them.  Fry potatoes in hot oil until brown on both sides, drain them on paper towels and season them.
